Day 2: Camp to Annascaul • Distance 17.5km • Walking Time 4 – 5.5 hours • Max Height 234m Today you cross the through the heart of the Dingle Peninsula. Treat yourself to a stroll along the magnificent beach at Inch Strand before continuing to Annascaul - home of Antarctic explorer, Tom Crean. Day 3: Annascaul to Dingle • Distance 22km • Walking Time 4.5 – 6.5 hours • Max Height 228m Your walk today takes you to the Gaeltacht town of Dingle – reknowned for its music, its culture and Fungi – a bottle-nosed dolphin that has been greeting visitors in Dingle Harbour since 1984. Day 4: Dingle to Slea Head • Distance 20km • Walking Time 4 – 5.5 hours • Max Height 160m Ancient historical forts dating back over 2,500 years, stunning clifftop views over the mystical Blasket islands – this is a unforgettable trek that will transport you from modern Ireland to the ‘old country’. Day 5: Slea Head to Ballyferriter • Distance 15.5km • Walking Time 3.5 – 5 hours • Max Height 132m Delving ever deeper into the Gaeltacht you continue along the Atlantic coastline discovering some of Ireland’s more picturesque and secluded beaches and enjoying the marvellous scenery. Day 6: Ballyferriter to Cuas • Distance 15.5km • Walking Time 3.5 – 5 hours • Max Height 60m The route from Ballyferriter to Feohanagh takes you along some of the finest clifftop walks in the country with the brooding peak of Mount Brandon watching over your every step.
