Hill Walking in Kerry - 8-Day - Guided  DAY 1: Transfer to Killarney You will be collected from Shannon Airport (pickup 2.30pm) or Kerry Airport (pickup 4.30pm) and brought to Killarney – Ireland's most picturesque large town in the shadow of the McGillycuddy Reeks. Day 2: Gap of Dunloe • Distance 16km • 4 - 6 hours • Max Height 200m Today you will walk through the magnificent Gap of Dunloe - a spectacular mountain pass where the roads are so narrow that a pony-and-trap is still the most popular mode of transport. DAY 3: Killarney to Galway's Bridge • Distance 12km • 4 - 6 hours • Max Height 284m From Muckross Abbey, follow the Old Kenmare Road - an ancient trading route long since closed to motorised traffic. Keep an eye out for the Irish red deer on this lovely walk. Day 4: Staigue Fort to Sneem • Distance 14km • 4 - 6 hours • Max Height 196m A transfer this morning takes you to Staigue Fort - a ring for dating from the Iron Age. From here, make your way back to the pretty village of Sneem next to Kenmare Bay. 
DAY 5: Caherdaniel to Waterville • Distance 15km • 4 - 6 hours • Max Height 238m We visit the ancestral home of Daniel O' Connell in Derrynane National Park before following a thrilling coastal route to Waterville - Charlie Chaplin's preferred holiday destination. DAY 6: Skellig Islands • Distance 6km • 2.5 hours • Max Height 245m Weather permitting we will take a boat trip to the Skellig Islands - a world heritage site and a highlight of any trip to Ireland. Alternatively, there are a number of other great walks in the area. DAY 7: Foilmore to Glenbeigh • Distance 15km • 4 - 6 hours • Max Height 330m An old coach road takes us around Drung Hill where we will enjoy stunning views over Dingle Bay and the old railway viaduct - a remnant of former trading routes. DAY 8: Depart Glenbeigh Transfer to Killarney leaves Glenbeigh at 9.30am. From Killarney, there are regular bus/train connections to Dublin, Cork & Shannon Airport.
