Spend an extra night in Kerry if you like...Mountain Climbing: At 1039m, Carrantuohill in the McGillycuddy Reeks is Ireland's highest mountain. Book an extra night in Glencar or Killarney and, weather permitting, we can organise for a local guide to take you all the way to the top! Deserted Islands: As early as the 7th Century AD, catholic monks sailed for the Skellig Islands, off the coast of Waterville, to escape persecution. Today, many remnants of their remarkable community remain intact. Fine Dining & Retail Therapy: Straddling both the Ring of Kerry and the Beara Peninsula, Kenmare is a bustling little town with award winning hotels and restaurants and gallery's selling local crafts and artwork. Traditional Music & Irish Pubs: It's never too hard to find a pub in Ireland and impromptu music sessions can spark up at the drop of a hat. Sneem, Glenbeigh, Kenmare and Killarney are the most likely spots.
