Single Saver!

Single Saver!

  • Are you a single person looking to take a self-guided walk in Ireland?
  • Would you like to have a companion to share the experience with?
  • Having trouble finding someone to come with you?

If you answered 'Yes' to the above questions, Hillwalk Ireland has the perfect solution for you.

This year, we will be connecting walkers who are looking for companions to share their Ireland experience.

So, if Julie from Paris wants to go walking in Dingle for a week in May, we can put her in touch with Jana from Berlin who also wants to go walking in Dingle at that time.

If Julie and Jana decide to go walking together, they can still choose whether to have separate rooms where they can have their privacy each evening or share a twin room (and avoid paying the single supplement).

Single Saver in 7 Simple Steps

Jan from Utrecht wants to go walking in Antrim in June and is interested in the Single Saver offer...

1. The first thing Jan will do is email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to let us know of his interest.

2. We will then contact Jan asking him for more details. For example, we will ask questions such as: Do you wish to walk with another guy only? What languages do you speak? How old are you? Etc.

3. As soon as Jan answers our questions, we try to identify a possible match for him.

4. After a while, we receive an email from Peter in the UK who also wants to go walking in Antrim in June

5. We then tell Jan & Peter that there is another walker whose preferences are similar to theirs.

6. If both Jan & Peter wish to make contact with one another, we will facilitate contact by email.

7. Finally, if Jan and Peter are happy to walk together, they will contact us and we'll look after the rest!
