DAY 1: Transfer to Enniskerry

From your point of arrival, use the public transport information we provide to make the trip to the village of Enniskerry.

DAY 2: Enniskerry – Roundwood • Distance 16.5km • Walking Time 4 – 6 hours • Max Height 630m

Widely considered to be the highlight of the entire Wicklow Way trail, the trek from Enniskerrry to Roundwood is truly a feast for the eyes. Your day starts with a gentle ascent through the Crone Woods before a steeper climb up over the shoulder of Djouce Mountain and onward to the summit of White Hill. As you start your descent into Roundwood you are treated to stunning views over Lough Tay and the Guinness Estate. 

DAY 3: Roundwood – Laragh • Distance 15km (18km via Scarr) • Walking Time 3.5 – 6 hours • Max Height 641m

You start your day along a quiet country road before climbing upwards through sheep-grazing country. On a clear day, you will have the option to lengthen today’s walk by taking a detour at Oldbridge and heading for Scarr Mountain (641m) – the views will be fair reward for your efforts! 

The monastic village of Glendalough soon comes into view as you head down into the Glenmacnass River Valley. After crossing the river, there is another short climb into Brockagh forest before you arrive in Glendalough.

Day 4: Depart Glendalough
