DAY 1: Transfer to Tinahely

From your point of arrival, use the public transformation we provide to make your way to Tinahely.

DAY 2: Tinahely to Iron Bridge • Distance 20.5km • Walking Time 4.5 – 6 hours •Max Height 390m

Starting off on a grass track around Coolafunshoge Mountain, the route skirts the tiny village of Moyne before heading into dense woodland around Ballygobban Mountain. A descent into the Ow River Valley brings you down to Iron Bridge.

DAY 3: Iron Bridge to Glenmalure • Distance 13km • Walking Time 3.5 – 4.5 hours • Max Height 510m

You start with a climb from the Ow River Valley that brings you close to the summit of Carrickashane Mountain. Cross over the road onto the shoulder of Slieve Maan before starting your descent into the picturesque valley of Glenmalure.

DAY 4: Glenmalure to Laragh • Distance 15.5km (17.5 km via Spink) • Walking Time 4 – 6 hours • Max Height 600m

Today’s walk starts with a climb up to the northern ridge of the Glenmalure valley before you descend into Glendalough either along the Wicklow Way or by taking the slightly longer, but arguably more beautiful, route via the Spink.

DAY 5: Laragh/Glendalough to Roundwood • Distance 12km (15 km via Scarr) • Walking Time 3.5 – 6 hours  • Max Height 641m

Take the shortcut back onto the Wicklow way through Laragh Village before crossing the Glenmacnass River and continuing up Paddock Hill.  If you have a clear day, you can opt to take a detour at Paddock Hill and head for Scarr Mountain (641m). Rejoin the Wicklow Way at Oldbridge.

DAY 6: Roundwood to Enniskerry • Distance 16.5km • Max Height 630m • Walking Time 4.5 – 6 hours

Widely considered to be the highlight of the entire Wicklow Way trail, you start with a climb up to a memorial dedicated to JB Malone, the founder of theWicklow WayContinue upwards to White Hill before descending past Powerscourt Waterfall and into Crone Woods.

DAY 7: Enniskerry to Marlay Park • Distance 19.5km • Walking Time 5 – 6.5 hours  • Max Height 488m

After passing around the side of Knockree Hill, you climb up and over the shoulder of a mountain known as Prince William's Seat. Take a last look back at the Wicklow Mountains before your tour ends on a lovely trail through Marlay Park.

Day 8: Depart from Marlay Park

There are regular buses to both Dublin City Centre and Dublin Airport. Your host will provide you with all the necessary details.
